Stanley Woodley was killed on 22nd January, 1917 when the plane he was piloting in France, collided with another aircraft flown by 2nd Lt W Kellett who was also killed. At the time he was flying a Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2 machine which was mainly used for reconnaiasnace.
